About Me

In my early years I was a reddish blonde Cairn Terrier, but somewhere along the genetic highway my fur turned grey and black and I morphed into a fuzzy munchkin werewolf. Don't know how this happened, but my looks seem to amuse the strangers I meet on the street. Midway through my metamorphosis, a woman mistook me for a domesticated badger and took many pictures.
I am interested in everything, and it takes little to amuse me. One of my favorite activities is sneaking into coffee shops and fixating on the goodies in the pastry cases. If I play my cards right, someone usually gives me a treat. Aroma Roasters has the best ice cream in town. Last year for my birthday my folks took me to to the local java hut and bought me a tiny dish of whipped cream. As soon as they let their guard down, I scooted into the bookstore next door and ran amok. I was on a roll. People were chasing me, laughing and calling my name, but no one could catch me. I dashed everywhere; downstairs, upstairs, and finally hunkered down behind the knees of a man who was so involved in his reading that he didn't even notice me. Usually I'm much better behaved, but my Mom says every once in awhile I just have to seize the moment.
I like water, and I love to climb the cliffs along the ocean. I'm a Bodega Bay legend. Seagulls quake at the mention of my name. Once we were out for a stroll at a local park and I was strutting my stuff on the rock border around a lily pond. I slipped and fell in, and three huge goldfish swarmed around me and tried to bite my toes. Dad immediately plunged to my rescue, but truth be told, I kind of liked paddling around in those uncharted waters.
I also enjoy late night walks with my folks in small towns and big cities, and I love to look in the windows and doors of shops we pass along the way. You never know what you're gonna discover or who you're gonna meet on one of these adventures. Sometimes a restaurant door will be open, which I interpret as an invitation to trot on in and meet the chef. You wouldn't believe how many times I've scored a gourmet tidbit with this trick.
My mom and dad are artists. One day I managed to get my paws in the paint, and Mom let me have a go at it. I created a self portrait that now hangs on our living room wall. Leave it to Mom to encourage me. I really got into painting, and now I donate all my masterpieces to animal welfare fund raiser auctions. I'm even featured in several of my Mom's paintings and greeting cards. I'm famous...and I'm not even dead yet! Life is good.
