The silence project is a collaboration of sounds and ideas. Formed in the fall of 2001. Although early ambient music, dub, post-rock, new wave, film scores and jazz play an important role in the development of each members styles, and the ever-evolving sound of the band.
After two self-titled, self-released EPs, compilation tracks, and a collaboration with Milwaukee Hip-Hop group The Rusty P's, "Architexture" marks the first full-length for the silence project. The eight songs on "Architexture" all evoke separate moods, tones, and shapes, but together make a cohesive statement. Pianos, guitars, drums, bass, and even cello and samples weave a unique sonic landscape. the silence project's sound pays tribute to past innovators as diverse as Brian Eno, Herbie Hancock, and Goblin, but looks to the future by securing a place among their post-rock contemporaries.
