Humbuck Squash was formed in 1994 while the band members were seniors in High school. They released a demo after playing a few months and while attending a Foo Fighters concert, Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters front man) gave the demo a listen, later having Humbuck play their first gig at a sold out show at Lupo’s Heartbreak hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. Within a year the band was signed to J-Bird Records and released, their first album Thoughts of May Distress. During the next several years, the band exhaustedly played live throughout most of the New England area and they distributed many recordings independently released by the band. In 2004, the band decided to rest for a while due to family reasons and currently they have reunited, created new material and are ready to sign on with a new record label, as well as a booking agent to assist with touring the United States and Europe.
