I enjoy cooking organic, vegan cuisine and pastries
I have many friends who I cherish, but I'm always open to meeting new people who appreciate good music - the music snob emerges - and like going to shows of bands/artists who make good music - there it goes again. I relish the company of older (10+ years) people who were fortunate enough to see great performers/bands who either passed before I was of age to see, or dismembered. I don't discriminate against carnivores; meeting vegans is a plus for restaurant recommendations and recipe exchange.
I am a very easy going, open-minded, relaxed and simple. I am open to meeting new people regardless of race, income bracket, upbringing, age, sexual orientation, social class, etc. I invite the company of anyone who focuses on positive aspects in every situation and hasn't lost sight of joy that can be harvested in even the most mundane, everyday life. With age I have become more concerned with living an organic life - externally and internally. I aim to dislodge materialistic notions in effort to embrace a deeper fulfillment.
I am a schizo when it comes to music....let's just say I have very eclectic taste. I can appreciate a genre within it's own text, so my ears don't fold when hearing different styles/influences/cultures revealed in recordings.
To name a few: Arcade Fire, My Morning Jacket, Tricky, Death Cab for Cutie, Flaming Lips, Ladytron, Marianne Faithful, Erikah Badu, Le Tigre, Nick Drake, A Perfect Circle, Si*se, Serge Gainsbourg, Os Mutantes, Zero 7, the Who, Built to Spill, Calexico, Roxy Music, Common, Fiona Apple, Interpol, Team Sleep, KRS-ONE, Ani Difranco, NIN, Black Uhuru, ELO, Bread, Dead Kennedys, Tom Petty, Sigur Ros, Madredeus, Bad Brains, Peaches, Tori Amos, BIS, Lyrics Born, Neil Young, ChungKing and Autolux - just to name a few.
Definitely "GHOST WORLD"....."SLC Punk"....."I ♥ Huckabees"...."Hedwig & the Angry Inch"......."Kalifornia"....."Underworld"....."Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" - there's 80's childhood nostalgia value in this one, okay???!!!!
Not home enough to really watch tv. I do know that I loathe sit-coms. The reality show thing has been exhausted and is a perfect example of how networks cutting costs takes priority over quality programming. I will admit that I got sucked into a few of the VH1 shows. I do watch Days of Our Lives (guilty pleasure) when I call in sick. I enjoy watching SNL re-runs - which is pretty much all SNL has nowadays. Oh, and those sex documentaries on HBO are great!
