In a career spanning only ten years, 33 year-old creative
director Paul Osen has already made a BIG name for himself
in the world of advertising and marketing. Four years
ago, the Detroit native, who began his career with an
internship on the Ford and White Castle accounts at
JWT, was named a “Top Creative Under 30†by industry
bible ADVERTISING AGE.Even before that national recognition, Paul had become
known in the Midwest as “the Eminem of Advertisingâ€
for his keen understanding of the urban market and his
scorching creativity in targeting multicultural
consumers. From his first art director position at
Brogan and Partners, where he created a popular urban
campaign for AIDS awareness, to stints at Dimarco/Cole
and Budco, where he was integral to the development of
Ford’s Urban Off-road “No Boundaries†Experience, Paul
has brought his insight and cutting-edge aesthetic to
products as varied as HoneyBaked Ham and Guardian
Glass.During a four-year stint at multicultural powerhouse
GlobalHue, Paul built an award- winning reputation on
accounts such as Daimler/Chrysler, Jeep and Verizon
Wireless. His United States Navy work for the agency
captured the coveted Mosaic Award in 2004 and landed
him on the cover of SCREEN Magazine for “Emerging
Markets, Emerging Talents†in multicultural
advertising.Lured to New York’s Uniworld Group by Chief Creative
Officer Valerie Graves, Paul blazed onto the Big Apple
scene. As an Associate Creative director, he created a
number one Ad Age Spot for Burger King that featured
Tony Cirico of the Sopranos TV series. His Burger King
Spot “Camper†starring Hip Hop icon Bentley Farnsworth
ranked in an IAG Top Ten Most-Liked spots, and his
Ford commercial “Frontin’†directed by Allen Hughes of
the famed Hughes brothers stole the top spot at the
Ford national Dealer Convention.Recruited again by Graves to a new situation at
Publicis’ Vigilante, the urban agency that caught the
attention of the marketing world with the Oprah/
Pontiac car giveaway, Paul has wasted no time in
making his mark. Associate Creative Director on
agency’s “Two Miles An Hour†multi-media tie-in with
legendary rapper, Ludacris. Paul is flexing his
creative muscles for Pontiac, Buick, Partnership For a
Dug Free America, Cox Communication and playing a key role
in new business development.Paul received his education in Graphic and Commercial
Arts at Macomb County Community College in Warren,
Michigan. He resides near New York where he
pursues his interests in music, film and all things
multicultural.
