About Me

In a career spanning only ten years, 33 year-old creative director Paul Osen has already made a BIG name for himself in the world of advertising and marketing. Four years ago, the Detroit native, who began his career with an internship on the Ford and White Castle accounts at JWT, was named a “Top Creative Under 30” by industry bible ADVERTISING AGE.Even before that national recognition, Paul had become known in the Midwest as “the Eminem of Advertising” for his keen understanding of the urban market and his scorching creativity in targeting multicultural consumers. From his first art director position at Brogan and Partners, where he created a popular urban campaign for AIDS awareness, to stints at Dimarco/Cole and Budco, where he was integral to the development of Ford’s Urban Off-road “No Boundaries” Experience, Paul has brought his insight and cutting-edge aesthetic to products as varied as HoneyBaked Ham and Guardian Glass.During a four-year stint at multicultural powerhouse GlobalHue, Paul built an award- winning reputation on accounts such as Daimler/Chrysler, Jeep and Verizon Wireless. His United States Navy work for the agency captured the coveted Mosaic Award in 2004 and landed him on the cover of SCREEN Magazine for “Emerging Markets, Emerging Talents” in multicultural advertising.Lured to New York’s Uniworld Group by Chief Creative Officer Valerie Graves, Paul blazed onto the Big Apple scene. As an Associate Creative director, he created a number one Ad Age Spot for Burger King that featured Tony Cirico of the Sopranos TV series. His Burger King Spot “Camper” starring Hip Hop icon Bentley Farnsworth ranked in an IAG Top Ten Most-Liked spots, and his Ford commercial “Frontin’” directed by Allen Hughes of the famed Hughes brothers stole the top spot at the Ford national Dealer Convention.Recruited again by Graves to a new situation at Publicis’ Vigilante, the urban agency that caught the attention of the marketing world with the Oprah/ Pontiac car giveaway, Paul has wasted no time in making his mark. Associate Creative Director on agency’s “Two Miles An Hour” multi-media tie-in with legendary rapper, Ludacris. Paul is flexing his creative muscles for Pontiac, Buick, Partnership For a Dug Free America, Cox Communication and playing a key role in new business development.Paul received his education in Graphic and Commercial Arts at Macomb County Community College in Warren, Michigan. He resides near New York where he pursues his interests in music, film and all things multicultural.
