In the fall of 2001, Mike Natcher (Wanker), Fenner Castner (Tommy Womack, Jason and the Scorchers), and their fellow band mates Skot Willis (Government Cheese) and John Martin (John Martin Trio) decided to call it quits with their band Geek Love Explosion. With the desire to continue writing and performing, Natcher put down the bass and went back to guitar and wrote a slew of songs the following fall, and called Castner about giving it another go around with a new band. Castner obliged to beat the skins again, and at that point, Dr. Wingbutter was added to the line up on bass, and thus, Lust For Diva was formed! After weeks of rehearsals, the band traveled from their hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky to Nashville, Tennessee in January of 2003 to record their self titled debut at Quad Studios with producer Chris Hughes.
After completion of the album, the band performed countless shows in their hometown and received successful reviews from fans and critics, alike. Amplifier described their debut as "big, meaty, bob-your-head-rock, with irresistible energy." The band also received popularity on the internet by having their track 'Trade with you' reach the charts as the second most downloaded song on Audiostreet.net, and received much press and praise for their opening performance for local legends Government Cheese.
Looking to further promote their debut album, the band set out to travel to major surrounding cities, but that was put on hiatus, due to bassist Dr. Wingbutter developing a wrist injury. Natcher and Castner looked no further than Josh Hines (Commander, Chest Rockwell) to fullfil duties on bass. Lust For Diva will be entering the studio in December of 2006 to record the follow up to their self titled debut. The new CD is set for release in August of 2007.Please don't send any of those phishing messages here. They will be deleted...
