Donovan also spent a few years in England. Within the texture of his music you can hear the disparate influences of Pete Townsend, John Lennon and Noel Gallagher.
Thom Donovan, a classically trained musician, started his career as a side-man. Playing guitar and singing background vocals for Stir (Capitol Records) and British band, Fono (Rykodisc), Donovan has recorded and toured world-wide with everyone from Robert Plant to the Goo Goo Doll’s.
In 2003 Donovan began fronting his own band, Lapush (456/Fontana). That band released 2 albums and 1 e.p. and in 2005 made their network television debut on Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC.
“I Love How You Love Me†is the first single from Thom Donovan. This is a cover version of Phil Spector’s 1961 mono recording of The Paris Sisters hit song.
