historically, i have enjoyed:
mf doom, autolect, madlib (yesterday's new quintet and madvillain etc), squarepusher (big loada and go plastic), deftones (esp Around the Fur), belle & sebastian, AFROB (yo was geht ab!), beck, the beatles, animal collective, BUSDRIVER, the blow, blackalicious, a little bjork here and there makes me want to punch members of the press, iggy pop, c-rayz walz, elliot smith, nick drake, HEFNER, devendra banhart, the pixies, horace silver, the white stripes, the beta band, the buzzcocks, johnny cash, interpol, khonnor long, freddie hubbard, ESTHER PHILLIPS, queens of the stone age, eagles of death metal, clinic used to be pretty good.. dunno what happened there, the MARS VOLTA, MCLUSKY.. damn shame they broke up, mos def, dana snyder, my bloody valentine, neutral milk hotel, nico, velvet underground, nine inch nails, of montreal, DUVELDUVEL and OPGEZWOLLE danish hiphop fuckin reprazent!.. no seriously. that shit's amazing, HUNKER DOWN ROY, otolathe, our very own phantom limb syndrome, a little prince, rjd2, aphex twin (of course), rufus wainwright, selfish cunt, sol.illaquists of sound, 2mex and the songodsuns, spasmodic symmetry, TOM WAITS (Singapore is the best song ever. no really! it's a fact.), yee-king, a little zappa, a little red elvises, a little ween, the cure, eminem's first two albums, meat beat manifesto, got some zeppelin on vinyl, wagonchrist, kid606, every monty python record ever, DEERHOOF, outkast, busta rhymes, that eddie grant song Dancing In Guyana makes me happy, Satie's Gymnopédies No. 1 is one of the most beautiful things i have ever heard ever, j dilla's good, biggie's good, fuenf stern deluxe are not without their charm, lamb, mr bungle, rachmaninoff, the dandy warhols, mark lanegan's Bubblegum, old school marilyn manson, the strokes, the boredoms, annnnnd.. well, i'm listening to the B-52's Rock Lobster right now.
God damn. That's a nice little list there.
at the moment i like otis redding, wilson pickett, joe tex, sam and dave, james brown, and that one arthur conley song where he sings about all those other guys.
