Welcome to my music page. My guitar influences are Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, David Gilmour, Dimebag Darrell, Jimmy Page, Dave Murray, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett. Band influences are Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Pantera, Rush. I have been playing for over 20 years and am considered by many to be one of the top guitarists in the area. I have played in both cover & original bands and I love what I do. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
I love to write my own music. While I don't write lyrics, I have written over 40 complete songs musically - mostly a style I like to call "melodic metal". As for what or who it sounds like, it sounds like ...........me. Well, I guess you might hear some of the influences listed above. I hope to have some music on here soon!
Currently I play with two cover bands and one original band. I'm an extremely lucky guy to be playing with not only extremely talented musicians, but also cool, down to earth people. Now, a little bit about the bands:
Release is a hard rock/heavy metal cover band. With 2 blistering lead guitarists, 2 lead vocalists plus 4-part vocal capability, Release puts on a show unmatched in the area!
The Unleashed is a hard rock/party rock cover band. A lot of popular favorites played with an edge you don't always see with typical party rock bands!
Kandela is an original heavy metal band which was already established in the area. We're working on an album and also are finishing up my first contribution to the band.
All 3 bands are high-end musicianship and are at the top echelon of bands in the area.
I'm also reforming a duo act I had years ago with a wonderfully gifted vocalist from L-town/Croydon area named Vika. We'll be playing area venues, happy hours, etc. Rock & top-40, acoustic and electric with authenic backing trax. Wait 'til you hear this girl sing Heart! The act is called Deuces Wild and you'll be seeing us very soon!
Stems & Seeds is a unique cover/original band making a name for itself in the area. I'm filling in some shows for them in Jan & March. They created the term POWER ACOUSTIC to describe their sound because its not so loud that it will blow your ears out, but it's full enough so that it ROCKS! They are the ONLY band from the area that mixes acoustic instruments with electric, and congas rather than a full drum kit, which gives a very unique sound and style. They are often imitated but nothing else comes close! The band is starting to become very popular and it's mainly because they are so different. S&S tend to NOT play what everyone else does, but are still very careful to choose songs that are fun, danceable and recognizable. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this band!
