DJ Jamesen Re

After experiencing club culture in Europe during the early 1990's Jamesen Re returned to his native homeland of Melbourne, Australia, to embark on his vision of creating the ultimate clubbing experience. In 1997, Jamesen harnessed his energy from traveling the world into his first creation "SUNNY SIDE UP" which became one of the most influential and respected dance party events in the country, if not the world. After many awards and adoration from fans and DJ's alike, he established himself as one of Australia's most respected dance party organizers and leading exponents of the underground dance movement for the musically conscious. After 3 years as the creative force behind SSU, in 2000 Jamesen decided to move on. As a result SSU was put to rest. With a hole left in the underground dance scene, SSU's influence become apparent when it's less than convincing clone "SUNNY" was born. Although SSU's predecessor never matched the feel, quality, and respect that SSU once had, SUNNY still continues 11 years later. A true testament to Jamesen's initial vision. The transition from event coordinator to DJ become a natural progression and it was only a matter time that he would forge a name for himself as an underground DJ. Now residing in Santa Monica, California, Jamesen Re is making waves in the U.S. dance scene with his residency at AFTERBURN playing his trademark blend of Deep, Tech House to sublime progressive. Jamesen Re's focus has always been to deliver cutting edge, quality underground dance music. With his popularity also growing from his DJ sets on xstreamist.com, his no nonsense approach to programming and mixing has earned him both respect of his peers and house music ethusiasts across globe. His talents also extend to composing and over the last 5 years he has dabbled in music production as another creative outlet. His disciplined approach to underground music is evident in his EP "MOVEMENTS IN ISOLATION" which is a retrospective of his experiences in the dance music scene, and it is only now that his tracks have seen the light of day.
