Swive was formed in autumn 2007 by 4 young lads from ReykjavÃk, the band started performing live in early 2008 and got good reviews for their participation in MúsÃktilraunir that same year.
They ended 2008 with a couple of good shows and yet another contest called GBOB (Global Battle Of The Bands) and got a very good review once again for their performance in Morgunblaðið.
They have been playing various gigs since the start of 2009 and intend to release an EP before autumn this year, they have promised an album for summer 2010.
