Time to make this a little more personal...I'm on a lifelong search to find people that can make me smile. I am desperately hoping i can keep up my current gym visits at 3x/wk. I'm wickedly sarcastic and cynical AND opinionated. I don't take compliments as well as i should. I think i have an undiagnosed mild case of ADD or OCD. I drink a can of Diet Coke every day at work. I love my car (when it's in good working order, which is most of the time). I blog every so often, though not on myspace. I'm indifferent about a lot of things that would affect other folks. My favorite drink is green, and someone ALWAYS asks me what i'm drinking. I'm fascinated by penguins and collect stuffed penguin toys and other things penguin related. I have a great family and some loyal friends. I'm scared of thunder. Thanksgiving is my favorite secular holiday and Passover is my favorite Jewish holiday. I'm a carb-a-holic (as well as a choc-a-holic). I've met online people in real life and found out i probably shouldn't do that. I enjoy celebrity sightings and have the pictures and autographs to prove it. I've had a mild sushi obsession for 5 years and counting. I take annual trips to the tri-state area to see friends and get away. I'm getting hooked on casino blackjack. I make a mean batch of chocolate chip pancakes, but i don't fix much else. I'm proud of being Jewish and a Texan!

My Interests

I love NBA & WNBA basketball, spending time with friends and family, going bowling and to movies, watching countless hours of TV, reading when i make time, doing japanese color logic puzzles, seeing my favorite music artists perform live, messing around on the internet, having lengthy, in-depth, REAL conversations, trying new things (within reason), and sleeping.

I'd like to meet:

People who have come into my life in the past and have left peacefully (or in some cases, not so peacefully) - i want to reconnect with them if possible. Plus, of course, i'd like to keep up with people who i am still in touch with! It wouldn't hurt to meet a few of these pretty boys (even though i've had the pleasure of meeting a couple already)!

Movies:

Too many favorites to name, so here are the types instead: romantic comedies, drama, some independent cinema, even some cartoons! Just not a fan of big time action flicks or horror, or suspense of any kind really (i'm a chicken and i know it)

Television:

Gilmore Girls, Without a Trace, America's Next Top Model, Arrested Development, Queer Eye, Friends, Frasier, Sex and the City, Boomtown, Everwood, Felicity, Buffy

Books:

I don't make time to read much lately, just magazines like SLAM. When i do make the time, usually i read fiction by African-American authors that i adopted while in high school, like Eric Jerome Dickey, Omar Tyree, E. Lynn Harris, Rosalyn McMillan, Connie Briscoe, Sandra Kitt, and Bebe Moore Campbell.
