Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have. Some things I've learned during my journey through life...
~ You never appreciate anything as much as when you earn it yourself.
~ You're never given more to deal with than you can handle.
~ You must have respect for yourself before anyone can respect you.
~ Happiness is not having what you want. It is wanting what you have.
~ There is no reason to cheat. If it has crossed your mind, you can't be happy in your relationship, get out of it!
~ If you walk around dressed and acting like a whore, that's how you'll be treated.
~ A little consideration goes a long way.
~ Selfishness will only lead to lonliness.
~ You find out who your true friends are during difficult times.
~ In order for a relationship and/or friendship to work, it takes effort by both people.
~ Your life will never be what you want it to be if your priorities aren't where they should be.
~ Nothing worth having ever comes easy.
~ Lies and deceit never bring about anything positive.
~ I don't want or need negativity in my life or my family's lives.
I am who I am today, because of my past. The way I lived, the decisions I've made, and the obstacles life has thrown at me have all gotten me to this point in my life. A point where I'm happy, content, and working towards an even happier future with my boys and the man I love.
I'm not too fond of people that show a total lack of respect for me, my family, my friends, or my relationships with those 2 groups of people.
I used to think that I had a hard time being cordial to those disrespectful people. What I've realized is that I don't have a hard time with it, I choose not to be. I'm not rude or anything. I just refuse to be fake and pretend to be something that I'm not.
