MIC
$CRILLA
Mychael "Mic Scrilla" Frazier was born on December 5, 1983. Since day
one, life was hectic; growing up like every other fatherless hood
child. Living in a single parent household with two brothers and three
sisters, life was rough for him and his family.
At age thirteen, Mic Scrilla got into music. An idol early on was rap
mogul Master P and his reign atop the rap world. Getting started was
not easy. Money was short and at times there was no pen and paper so
freestyle was the only option. At age sixteen Mic's mother passed away
and he began living with his aunts. Shortly after this, Mic decided
music would be his tool to make it out of the hood. In order to progress,
he knew money would be necessary. Music was an expensive career path
and a lot of money had to be invested in it. He began to do what
street hustlers do in order to invest in his craft. At a young age, Mic had
fell victim to some of traps the lay wait in the streets. With his
new funding, he started producing his music-- he no longer had to rely on
someone else’s beats or industry instrumentals.
When he first began rapping his stage name was "Malice Murder.†Under
this name an underground cd was released entitled Tha Clickalation.
This disc featured Mic and other neighborhood youth on the same path (Cut
Dog, Solow G, and Yumie G). The release did not go far, but it was a
start. Outside of himself, Mic saw few younger people in his area
progressing toward something respectable-- there was nothing productive
going on in his neighborhood. He felt this way until he met a few more
young people in his community on the same route. After befriending these
other novice musicians, efforts were made to make progress together.
A new group was formed by the name of Mobstyle. A name change was in
order for marketability purposes, Malice Murder would now be known as
Malice Mic. Not long after the formation of Mobstyle, long time friend
Yumie G passed away. Malice Mic and the rest of Mobstyle put together a
compilation entitled Str8 Out tha Trap Vol.1. This release was
significant because notoriety and feedback was attained throughout the
northwest Georgia area.
Mic Scrilla had his first performance in 2001 opening for Cash Money
Records at a venue in Atlanta. After this Mic went on to open for D4L,
T-Pain, Da Backwudz, Bow Wow, Field Mob, Crime Mob, Nut Skywalker,
Pastor Troy, Young Buck, Yo Gotti, UNK, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, and many
other notable artists.
Currently, Mic now known as Mic Scrilla (yet another name change for
marketability purposes) is promoting his latest underground album Life in
the Fast Lane. Aside from promoting this Life in the Fast Lane, Mic
has been recording his next cd under Block Market Music. When asked
about the concept behind his next cd entitled Mobstyle Life, Mic remarked,
"It's goin' to be the hottest thing out because it's real."
SOLOW G THA
MEXIKING
Being around music all of his life, Solow G tha Mexiking (born Jese
Emmanuel Galvan October 14, 1983) became aware of his love for music at a
very young age. Early in life, his older brother was a songwriter and
his other two brothers were singers. Solow discovered his and love for
freestyling at the age of thirteen while experimenting with his
brother’s DJ equipment. Being from a background of singing and Spanish
music, the Mexiking decided to take his music career in a different
direction, instead of becoming a singer like his siblings, he would rap. It
was then when the Mexiking decided that he wanted to pursue his rap
career.
The Mexiking began writing songs. By the age of 17, the Mexiking had
moved back to Polk County. After he moved back, he found out many people
he grew up with were on the same music path. One of these people
happened to be Mychael “Mic $crilla†Frazier. Solow now began performing
in a series of groups including Tha Clickalation, CDT, 420, and Gully
Fam.
After graduating high school, Solow caught the eyes of several
promoters who began letting him open for notable acts. The artists he opened
for include Lil Wayne, BG, Pastor Troy, and Lil Scrappy. After opening
for these acts, the Mexiking joined another group by the name of Chosen
Royalty. With this group, he opened for TI, Young Buck, Jim Jones, Bow
Wow, Ying Yang Twinz, and 112. Along with these performances, he
opened in four states with T-Pain, five states with Lil Wayne, two states
with D4L, and many others.
Currently, Solow G tha Mexiking is promotion an underground mixtape
(Tha Mextape) in the southeast. Along with the promotion of Tha Mextape,
Solow is in the studio working on his album release under Block Market

D-CO
On May 5, 1982 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carldico Evans was born. Since a
very young age, Carldico had a love for music. In the fourth grade, he
took a liking to rap music. In grade school, he and his cousin
memorized the entire Eightball and MJG album Comin Out Hard. They would
recite the tracks all day during school. By doing this, they commanded the
complete attention of their peers. Carldico noticed this attention and
became eager to continue receiving it.
At age eleven, Carldico organized a community marching unit. It was
here that his thirst for rapping grew as he and other members of the unit
would compose music using percussion instruments. While doing making
the beats with real instruments, they would also freestyle. At age
sixteen, Carldico turned away from music and began trying to find his own
way in life. Even though he was not making music, he always found
comfort in it.
At age 21, he ran into a friend from the marching unit with whom he
would freestyle. While Carldico was away, this friend had built his a
studio and was working on his own music. He offered Carldico an
opportunity to record in the studio. Carldico took on the name of “Tragi-Dâ€
then decided that he would start a label. After realizing that he had no
knowledge of how to run a record label he stepped away from that idea.
He and several neighborhood friends began recording songs, but
nothing would become of it due to the groups differences. Carldico continued
to work on his music and in the fall of 2005, he moved to Atlanta to
attend school.
He made the move to east Atlanta to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting at DeVry University. In doing so, he became roommates with a
person by the name Battle. The two of them discussed the ins-and-outs
of music, industry figures, and rap in general. Battle later informed
Carldico that he was in the process of starting a record label.
Several months later, Carldico received a call from Battle asking him
if he wanted to go to the studio. He went to the studio and recorded a
track under the name D-Co. Carldico decided that he would use a
variation of his real name as his rap moniker because he does not want his
audience to think that he was giving them a character instead of a real
person that they can relate to. After the session, he was offered the
opportunity to be a part of Block Market Music.
Cincinnati born and raised, Uptown Representative. Block Market
managed. DC affiliated. Money oriented. "If it don't make dollars it don't
make cents, ya dig!" I'm here now. It's time to change the game brah. I'm
sick of these "Actors" or
rappers as most of ya'll call them. A actor is any body who portrays a
life that
they don't really live. Don't destroy the music trying to uphold a
image. Do You! It's time for a fix and I'm what the game need. That D. 100%
pure ya dig! That's what I put on these tracks. Co is the company, D
is the product. We sellin me! Uncut.
Welcome to D-CO.
