After a few years as a soloist in Bat Dor Dance Company, he was invited to join the Bat Sheva Dance Company, where he danced for five years as lead dancer in many works created by famous choreographers from all over the world. Following his departure from the Bat Sheva Dance Company, he was invited to perform as a lead dancer in Lar Lubovitch well known Dance Company in New York, where appeared at a gala evening under the direction of Michael Barishnikov and the New York Philharmonic and received enthusiastic critical accl.. “Ido Tadmor brought down the house at Lincoln Center” (New York Times) After his return to Israel he was also invited to perform as lead dancer by the Scapino Ballet company of Rotterdam, Holland. As a teacher, Tadmor has taught in the leading dance companies in the world in Israel and in famous schools in Europe-e.g. the Dance Academy in Rome, Artemis in Amsterdam. In Isarel : Bat Sheva Dance Company, The Kibbutz Dance Company, Inbal Dance Company, Muza Dance Company. He also led summer dance classes in the Susan Dalal Center, "Matan", the Jerusalem Dance Academy,Studio B, in the school for arts "Talmah Yellin". Tadmor has been awarded several grants from numerous sources including The American Israel Cultural Foundation, Municipality of Tel Aviv, Municipality of Haifa and other public bodies and foundations encouraging cultural activities in Israel.Ido Tadmor offers also Summer Dance Courses at “Ido Tadmor – The House”, the home studio of Ido Tadmor – Dance Company. Tadmor is a member of the judges’ panel for The Maya Arbatova Classical Dance Competition and the Adi Agmon Flamenco Competition in Israel. In 1995, he formed his own troupe IDO TADMOR – DANCE COMPANY. Since then, he has been the art director of the company and has performed with it, as Senior Dancer, in many places around the world. (Tokio, USA, Madrid, Paris, Moscow). During the past 2 decades Ido Tadmor has represented the State of Israelaround the world as an “Ambassador of Dance”. He performed in many places around the world as a lead dancer in dance companies, as well as a soloist in many Gala evenings. In 1995 he was the only dancer who was invited as a guest dancer (not competitor) to the Banyola – the famous dance competition in Paris. He toured all of Europe after signing a long term contract with a well known European impresario accl.. “Tadmor is a talented dancer, virtuoso, such one touched by God’s finger. A virtuoso possessing rare intensity......” (El-Pais, Madrid). Since then he appeared at prestigious gala evenings and highly regarded festivals throughout the world and was characterized by the Vienna Committee as one of the top ten dancers in the world of modern dance. Tadmor was awarded stipends by the Israel America Cultural Fund, Tel Aviv municipality, Haifa municipality, and additional funds for the encouragement of culture and the arts. During his career Tadmor worked together with many artists from different art fields, such as actress Gila Almagor, singers Rita, Barry Sacharov, Ofer Nissim, Efrat Rotem, Ninette (winner of the "Israel Idol" competition), entertainer Zvicka Hadar, singer Miri Messica, miki kam,ohad hitman and many others. Important dates: 1982 student at Bat Dor. 1983 soloist in Bat Dor. 1985 lead soloist in Bat Seva. 1990 awarded the ‘Yair Shapira’ award for dancer of the year and for outstanding abilities. In that year he created his first work, ‘Fast Food’, as a part of an event he produced for the ‘Israel AIDS Task Force’. Also, performed as lead dancer in ‘Lar Lubovitch’, NYC. 1992 Created his first solo ‘Seven Last Words’. 1993 Created a duet for himself and the noted pianist Daniel Gortler, especially for a fund raising evening in Stuttgart, Germany. 1995 Established his own dance company and was the choreographer as well as the artistic director. Created the work ‘Sima’s Pot’. 1996 Created the work ‘The Cell’. 1997 Created the work ‘Uranus’. During the same year he was invited to choreograph for the joint production of the New York Y dance center and the Metropolitan Opera for the opera "Lilith". He was awarded four important prizes: Two prizes by the Minister of Education, Culture, and Sport, the performance prize for dancer of the year, and the prize for choreographer of the year for young creators. Another prize was awarded by the Tel Aviv municipality in the name of Gotlieb and Hanah Rosenblum for stage arts, for his contribution to dance, as well as the "wandering cylinder" for artist of the year awarded by "art for the people". He also created the choreography for the play "equus" for the Beer Sheba theatre that year. 1998 Created "Neta" a work he dedicated to his mother and in parallel, "Spachtel", a work performed by the "Muza" troupe, as well as a children's creation called "Simale". 1999 Created "Amora". The same year he was awarded the prize for lifetime achievement by the cultural fund America Israel. 2000 Was awarded the Haifa municipality dancer of the year and for his contribution to the art of dancing in Israel. He created "Behemot" in unprecedented cooperation with two additional artists-Emmanuel Gat and Yossi Yungmann, in a Susan Dalal center production. 2001 Created "Magrit". a production which drew its inspiration from a painting of the known artist Magrit, And was created for the dancers of "Bat Dor", being named as the creation of the year by the Yedioth Achronot newspaper, He also created short pieces for additional schools and a creation celebrating 50 years of the Israeli Lottery. The same year he opened the "Ido Tadmor Home". The home turned with time into a cultural center for artists from all disciplines of art and is at present a new national center for the art of dancing which granted opportunities of artistic exposure to young artists and draws a large audience for new creative expressions. 2003 Was awarded the Israel theatre prize for his creation "Scriptures" as the best production and the outstanding event of the year in the field of all arts disciplines. During the same year, after the fire at "Beit Mercazim” in Tel Aviv, the place housing the Ido Tadmor Home, he founded the center for theatre and dance at the new central bus station of Tel Aviv as part of the vision for development and fostering of South Tel Aviv. He was also invited to open the gala event of the Moscow Bolshoi Ballet. 2004 Created the Fire Bird by Igor Strawinsky for the Israel Philharmonic and the Concerto for Piano No. 2 by Brahms for the Rishon LeZion Orchestra. During the same year he was invited by the Minister of Education and Culture Limor Livnat to India as part of the signature ceremony of cultural agreements with India and participated in the Prime Minister's delegation. 2005 Created "Bed, Sheet and Pillow" and again won extraordinary acclaim by the critics: "The best work of the last decade" (Zvi Goren). At the same time he began to study acting for camera at the acclaimed teacher Ruth Deichs and was given the lead role in the film "Tied Hands", by Dan Wolman, opposite Gila Almagor. At the end of filming Ido was chosen as the lead judge in the TV program "Born to Dance", Channel 2, Israel. 2006 Was chosen again to lead the judges in the above TV program. 2007 Was chosen to moderate "The Studio", at the first internet TV program in Israel by Keshet.Ido also participated over the years in many television and movie commercials and directed and participated in clips for music TV channels in Israel and outside of Israel.He was chosen for the campaigns of 3M condoms and the food additive Mega Gluplex. He also created a whole men's collection for “Chaos”, an Israeli leading fashion firm.Tadmor has received "good things in the arts" channel 2 [Reshet] hosting T.V. show as the host.
