Ok, pay attention this is all vital information and it may just change your life...or cure your Insomnia. For the many millions of you that don't know me my name is Maurice(Mossie) Christopher Paul Griffin resident on this planet 44 years and grayer than Grandpa Walton after the first 14 of them... I play Bodhran and Guitar, a few other instruments but badly enough not to mention here...Bodhran is my first love but oddly enough i started on the button accordion playing for set dancing in South Kerry ( Cough-35th all-Ireland-cough ...Up the Kingdom!!! ) then after one really warm summer a Bodhran ended up in the house and the rest is history...here i am 25yrs later and still beating the living daylights out of Harry (ok yes i named my Bodhran...i have no life) Then a few years later Mary Shannon was going to Australia and said her you go Mossie you can learn to play this while i'm gone and she gave me her Mandola, about three years later i moved onto Guitar...i have an unusual style that's derived more from the tone changes in my Bodhran playing than from the standard recognized chord changes found in most recorded music available today. Without a doubt the largest single influence on my early Bodhran playing was Big Jim Sutherland (Scottish Bodhran player with the band The Easy Club) and through his playing i developed the style i have today...On Guitar my biggest influence (coz he shows me just how poor i am compared to him) is my great friend Martin Dermody possibly one of the most exciting and gifted players i've ever had the good fortune to meet and play with Well that will do for now if you want to find out more jump on a plane to California and ask me...
