Under the Blade

About Me

Under the Blade formed out of the dissolution of several underground bands - most notably the old school black metal band Crimson Reign, melodic death metal band Everything is Plundered, and rock band Fairly Decent.

The shortly after forming... the trio, then consisting of vocalist Joe Hurless, drummer Derek Rostock, and guitarist Grant Drake, recruited guitar player Jesse Drennen and bassist/vocalist Nick Weeks to complete the line-up. Shortly thereafter, the group - heavily influenced by both Bay-area thrash and Gothenburg style melodic death metal - produced what would be their first recordings and began gigging with more frequency.

Under the Blade is currently available for shows and is working on material for their debut full length album tenatively entitled "The Word".
