I will like to thank god for blessing me with this wonderul talent I have, My mother for struggling to raise me and my siblings! , My family and most of all My fans!!!!!The 24 year old Chicagoland native, born Laronzae Aldridge, grew up in the rough suburbs of Robbins, IL.. Unlike most suburban living, this area being over-run with poverty, drug infestation, and a soaring crime rate set the bar pretty high for youth looking to make it out successfully. But, despite the overwhelming odds Link made an early decision to follow his dream and work as hard as it took to arise from his situation. Early in his high school years, after participating in a number of battles and freestyle sessions, he realized that he had a nack for music. So, in 2001 he bagan to take his craft more seriously, and along with two friends started the group R.O.C.A . Due to the reality that they were still young and growing the group would soon later disband, leaving him to fend for himself as a solo artist. However, as discouraging as this new solo thing might have been it would not last for long. Soon after Link would meet and later become a memeber of the four man group known as Murder 1 Suspects. This move turned to be one of growth. Being set in a group with three other skilled rappers forced the young artist to work even harder at his ryhme scheme and over all delivery. Later gaining him the tiltle of a smooth yet versatile lyricist noted for his direct wordplay.
Taking in to consideration his past experiences and what he has learned from them, Link made the conscious decision that 2004 would be the year he broke solo. In the midst of his transition he would be blessed with the opportunity to meet Humble, the CEO of UDAONE Records. The fact that the label was based in Robbins, and that Humble and Link shared the same hometown, made their ability to connect that much easier. The two would use this connection to bring to life Link's 2005 debut mixtape "THIS IS ME". Not only did this cd bing forth an undeniable street buzz, but it also produced a video for a single off the cd called "Mainstream Poverty". This proved to be a great start to successful solo career. It even proved to be profitable, as he would go through out the city of Chicago selling his mixtape and video for five dollars a piece. Even though this was very inspiring this young man realized that he must continue his education, so he wnt back to school. After attending college he would soon return to his love of music.Link re-entered the game strong doing a number of open mics and shows through out cities like Chicago, St. Louis, and Atlanta to name a few. While in ATL he performed at the Bronners Brothers Hair Convention, where he was recieved with open arms and a standing ovation. In 2008, Link got his first taste of radio buzz along with local R&B artist Derty Harry for their collabortion on the song "Neva Eva". This along with years of working hard and non stop grindin' helped catch the ear of a blazin' club dj, named Dj Allstyle. This union would seem to be the best move for the enegetic rapper. Dj Allstyle would begin booking Link for many club show and would incorparating his song into his own mixes. Then in the summer of 08' Allstyle would bring him a song called "Voicemail" http://limelinx.com/files/272ccac073804524cdb37bd45cf74a03. The song was already hot after being polished by the melodic vocals of R&B artist Fedarro, when Link took hold and sent into cetified BANGA status. This song has proven the test of time and is still being played in clubs through out the city of Chicago.
