Island of the Sun

Island of the Sun was created in 2006 by songwriter Rocky Pruden. It is an earthy laid back approach showcasing Rocky's picturesque story telling abilities through the eyes of an earthy surf loving Canadian born prairie boy who falls head over heels for some crazy island adventures with KitCat his dread locked surfer babe!. "I'm gonna take you for a ride" he says laughing while writing some new material from the back of his 72 VW Bus parked along side the ocean. The Former lead vocalist from "Pottymouth", and co-founder of "Ncognito" now "TheDay" where he played drums for, both of which are from Calgary, Ab decided to pack everything up and do some soul searching out on the beaches of Vancouver Island. "The Road is my home and always has been" he says while looking off in the distance. "Thats how I was brought up with my mom, we moved from Edmonton to Vancouver, then Toronto to Oshawa, Vancouver to Nanaimo, and finally landed back in Edmonton by the time I was 11 years of age so I guess its in my blood". Island of the Sun is going to take you on a journey to a place where the air is fresh, the tree's stand tall, and the sun sets in between the crashing waves off the shores of LongBeach.
