Influences: Ah influences, it all starts in 1977, an impressionable 13 year old gets played Tomita by his music teacher and over the next couple of years hears Jarre, Kraftwerk and Gary Numan on the radio, who can forget seeing Are Friends Electric on TOTP for the first time!, wonders what those instruments are, gives up playing the trumpet, and the rest is history, thirty years later and synths are still my thing so here's a brief list -Klaus Schulze, Early Jean Michel Jarre, Tim Blake, Gary Numan, Tangerine Dream (the Virgin albums and some early Jive Electro albums), Vangelis, Robert Shroeder, David Sylvian, Richard Barbieri, Steve Jansen, Kraftwerk, Human League (Reproduction, Travelogue & Dare), Robert Rich, Depeche Mode, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, DAF, Nitzer Ebb, and a vast amount of other electronic artists, especially 1970's instrumentalists. Can't forget Steve Hillage, Gong, Pink Floyd and Blondie got to have some guitars with those synths as well man! And lets not forget the Doors!
Sounds Like: On the albums released so far I'd say mainly a mixture of Klaus Schulze and Robert Rich with whatever I bring to that combination; but Klaus when I'm playing live, and in the privacy of my own studio any of the musical influences mentioned minus vocals, although working with a vocalist would be nice.
