Romeo is in his 5th year of his Bachelors of Education degree in Kinesiology and Theatre at the University of Winnipeg. He brings several years of dance experience and has been training in various studios such as the Royal Dance Conservatory, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, School of Contemporary Dancers and Vibe Studio. In addition, he has attended various major conventions such as Dance Fuzion, Triple Threat and Pulse with the So You Think You Can Dance choreographers. As a member of Sisler High Schools’ Most Wanted, he won numerous MB dance festival gold honors (2004 & 2006) and performed for her majesty Queen Elizabeth II (2004). On top of numerous gold honors standing, he has been awarded the MB hip-hop adjudicators choice (2006) and placed as a finalist for International Power Dance (2006). Romeo’s professional career started when he appeared for Rainbow Stage’s production of the “King and I” (2004) and “Miss Saigon” (2005). Other musical credits include Power of His Love (Judas), Bernarda Alba and in Circuit’s production of “Vision”. He has also danced with Bolero Dance Theatre and X-Company. Choreography credits include the Centennial Concert Hall premiere of Wow Gk (2005) and the following Wow Na Wow GK: Hearts of Heroes at the MTS Centre for the ANCOP charity organization Gawad Kalinga (2006). Romeo is also an artist for Learning through the Arts with the Winnipeg School Division #1. He is also on staff with the hip hop program at Contemporary Dancers, Promenade and L.A. Dance Academy. He is the founder, director and choreographer for Un1te Dance Company (UDC). Lastly, with UDC, he organizes the largest hip hop dance competition in Manitoba called In The Zone!
