On Oct. 27th we (John D. Hale Band) and The Snorty Horse Saloon (Steve Greene) are putting on the 1st annual "Loudest Show on Dirt" music festival.
The festival will be held at Flickerwood arena. Flickerwood is an indoor rodeo arena in Jackson, Mo. We're going to sit the stage right in the middle of the arena and have a big ol' party in the dirt(we will also have bleachers). When we set out to put this thing together we wanted to get a group of the THE best songwriters we could and after everything was finalized I think we have done just that. So.........Here's the lineup.The Legendary Billy Joe Shaver... if you don't know who Billy Joe is I feel sorry for you. He is what every songwriter in country music aspires to be.....HE IS THE REAL DEAL!!! he's as country as the day is long and he can still Rock and Roll with the best of 'em. Simply put he is a BAD ASS.Chris Knight....Chris will be performing with a full band. He does alot of acoustic shows and we feel very lucky to get him with his full band. Chris, in my opinion, is The Best Songwriter of this day and age.Corb Lund & the Hurtin Albertans......Corb and his boys hail from Alberta,Canada. Once again it goes back to the songwriting, these guys have their shit together. They have won multiple CCMA(Canadas CMA's) awards for roots artist of the year and are really breaking out in the states. Corb is huge up north and lets hope he gets just as big down here.John D. Hale Band......If your reading this than you probably know the story on us.The Dirty 30's......the D30's are from Cape Girardeau, MO and STL, MO. We played a show with them a few months back and really enjoyed what they were doing. They have kind of a Rolling Stones/ Uncle Tupelo Alt. Country vibe going and are a really talented bunch of musicians. I think you'll dig 'emPlus more to be announced........If you haven't heard of somebody on the bill , PLEASE check 'em out online.
