Myspace TrackerBorn and raised in the Bay Area of sunny California. I attended Richmond High School, class of 1984. I am currently residing in Spain. I 'm also the proud father two fantastic boys, Randy and Jonathon. Since finishing a 20 year career in the World’s Greatest Navy, I am able to focus more on my love and desire to play music. I’ve played with several bands in the past that covered various forms of music from Alternative Rock, 5 decades of Rock & Roll, and now 60's music. As a Guitarist with the band “Unlikely Heros” I had the distinct pleasure of working with some great friends, as well as, musicians. In the almost 1 1/2 years that we were together we formed a band, won first place in Battle of the Bands competition, enabling us to record an original CD. The Unikely Heros cd is a 10 track Demo cd, recorded right here in Cadiz, Spain. It really rocks too!!!! There is video to the left of the screen. It is a video montage of the "Unlikey Heros" featuring the song "Soon They'll See." Although the band is no longer together, we all TRY to keep in touch, somewhat. lol... But that is one of the great things about the military, you get the opportunity to meet a lot great people, work together, establish great friendship, and then you move on... As a Guitarist and Singer with Charlie Don’t Surf, it was really a great time. We consisted of 7 band members, who all had the opportunity to sing and perform various solos. Everyone got their moment in the spotlight. We covered 5 decades of Rock and Roll, which provided a little something for everyone. We had the pleasure to open for the Bay Area's "Stroke9" right here in Rota Spain, for the 4th of July celebration, held on 1 July 2005. I'm currently working with an all Spanish band called "Solera 60" covering 60’s music, (mostly Beatles, CCR, Rolling Stones and Spanish equivalant). My first impression of playing in a 60's band was ewwwwwwwwwwwww a 60's band. But then I found out that on this side of the Globe there is STILL such a high demand for this style of music, with the Europeans. Outside of my current Band, I usually go to a local pub called Los Arcos and have jam sessions with some friends. Its really great, but we never know who's gonna show up, therefore, we never know what we're gonna play or who's going to sing. Everyone usually has a couple of songs and that they can perform and everyone else just follows and backs them up. In the end, we all have a great time, as we devour the greatest beer in Spain, CRUZCAMPO!!!Although I love to play and learn the various types and styles of music, I still find myself always turning back to that Great Rock~! I believe it has something to do with the drive and energy behind it. A few of the great bands and musicians that I have been inspired by are: Eric Clapton, Santana, Van Halen, Frank Hannon of Tesla, Dave Meniketti of Y&T, Poison, Motley Crue, Green Day, Matchbox 20, Three Doors Down.
