How it is today, the Cia Halim is on the road since 2002, but some members joined together since 1998.
Being the voice of the Contemporary Ethnic Dance in Brazil, known as the Brazilian Tribal Style, it was created by Shaide Halim, performing the fusion between many diferent dance styles, like contemporary, indian, bellydance, brazilian dances, afro, many kinds of folk dances, including the study of yoga and marcial arts.
The Cia Halim also works together with some names of the Braziliam World Music, like MA3, Marcus Santurys, Victor Ruiz (Atman), between others. It is always opened for new purposes from musicians that develop a work wich combines with the Halim artistic style.
The Halim teachers, directed by Shaide, also work for a strong formation of dancers who wish to develop expressive performances with the Contemporary Ethnic Dance, giving them all the technical support they need to create their own tribal style dance groups, including countries like Iceland and USA.
