In the band's timeline Brunette managed an impressive run of achievments. The band broke Van Halen and The Doors single-weekend attendence records on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood California. Raising awareness with their constant touring and 'over the top' marketing of their live shows soon brought their attention to the major labels. They were courted by top record executives for months. Playing sold-out shows and standing room only showcases to lists of admirers. The band built a loyal fan base stretching over the US to the United Kingdom, South America and Asia.
Indifferences took shape within the band before a recording contract could be secured. The band decieded to call it quits in 1991.
Within the bands tenure Brunette never relesed a full length album. All that exist are self- produced demos and a five song EP for the motion picture "Smash Crash and Burn."
Brunette made fans the old fasioned way. They earned them from little known dive bars to Music Festivals. *****This is a tribute page.
Weeks after the split of BRUNETTE members Johnny and Joey went on to form HARDLINE with JOURNEY guitarist Neal Schon. Jay would venture on to Canadian act BIG HOUSE. Darek would provide drum tracks for BANGALORE CHOIR 's "On Target" and audition for CINDERELLA. Latter day Guitarist Dave Marshall would go on to join MOTLEY CRUE frontman VINCE NEIL on Neil's debut solo CD "Exposed".
