Bosnian singer /composer, born in 1963 grew up in Sarajevo. In 1980 Amila formed band with here boyfriend Ipe Ivandic who was a famous drummer of a legendary Yugoslavian band BIJELO DUGME. In 1980 Amila’s prolific career spiraled into the heights of Rock Stardom in Yugoslavia. She landed up with record deals with Yugoton Records and recorded two albums KAKAV DIVAN DAN and IGRE SLOBODE , collaborated with the most famous musicians of that time in Yugoslavia,Goran Bregovic,Laza Ristovski,Sead Lipovaca,Alen Islamovic,Valentino, Amila also toured Russia in the early 1980. According to Amila "Russia was one of the most fascinating experiences for a young Yugoslavian girl.” Where the paranoid closed Communist state in power at that time considered her a Yugoslavian spy, secretly collecting and reporting information’s on the activities or movements of enemy . After one year of touring Russia here contract with Leningradska,Koncertna Agencija was never extended. On here return back home In the mid 1980 Amila was touring Yugoslavia with Goran Bregovic’s band BIJELO DUGME singing in front of 30.000 people ……………BUT In 1988 after powerful psychic experiences, in here native city Sarajevo, Amila for saw the destruction of here city and here beloved country and moved to London. In London she was introduced to esoteric studies and sacred mysteries ,Amila realized that she is fallowing path of the inner cult ,and that music is most essential for spiritual development. In London Amila Sulejmanovic was discovered by the famous singing teacher RICHARD VON ALDA who trained here voice in the old Italian style of singing BEL CANTO, actually the 500 year old Vatican SCUOLA CANTORUM was founded by Pope GREGORY THE FIFTH, from which GIUSSEPE VERDI the famous baritone came from as well as ANTONIO COTOGNI and.etc.......Amila give opera performances across Europe and also collaborated with JAH WOBBLE and his experimental band DEEP SPACE , where she found herself working with Jazz Legends ,HARRY BACKET,JACKIE LIEBEZEIT of legendary CAN,BILL LASWEL etc.
