When I moved from big-city Chicago to a small town in the East I received a severe case of culture shock. Though I tried hard to fit in, I couldn't quite believe I was living in a place where rock music and dancing was illegal. I discovered that a Bible-thumping minister was responsible for keeping the town dance-free. Myself and some friends wanted to do away with this ordinance, especially since the Strokes concert was around the corner. I built up the courage to initiate a battle to abolish the outmoded ban and revitalize the spirit of the repressed townspeople. In the end it all worked out since our town were able to dance to the Strokes in a complex choreographed dance which could only be described as surprising since this was a town where dancing was outlawed just previous to the first chord being strummed by the opening band (which was the band Guided By Voices)

My Blog
New Stuff Comming
I deleted all my old blogs. Most of them were written late at night while under the influence of alcohol, so they were poorly written and not very well structured. Plus, they had the F Word in them.... Posted by on Wed, 30 Jul 2008 14:10:00 GMT
