I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm 40, married, kids, etc. I serve as a Pastor in a small town Baptist Church. I'm conservative in some ways, but open to new ideas and am not intimidated by people who disagree with me. I've had a number of friends who were atheists, Wiccans, etc., and have always gotten along fine with them.I have several sides. I have had life experiences that have softened me, making me gentle, able to care for and help others. I am artistic, creative, and innovative. I grew up handling guns and military things. For the past twelve years I have been a Civil War reenactor, mostly with the 1st Nebraska. I am also in the Sons of Union Veterans. I like World War II stuff, airplanes, ships, guns, outdoor stuff, and cowboy type things. I am kind of laid back and enjoy the cowboy mentality of just taking life as it comes.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Tom Selleck, Sam Elliot, Stephen Lang, Charles Swindoll, Charles Stanley, Tom Berringer, Ken Ham.

Enough proof

I was recently looking over a couple blogs by atheists and I like to read them, because it gives me an insight into the other side's view point. I am not an atheist. I believe in the Christian God and...

The Mercy of God

I guess turning 40 can make a person reflective, but I have generally been a reflective person anyway. To be quite frank (not honest, because I am honest), I never thought I would live to be 40. I had...

Tribute to my wife

For a lot of years I have not given my wife, Marlene, the credit she deserves. I was so caught up with trying to get my career on line or battling personal "demons" that so often I have ignored the ch...
