What started as a fundraising initiative to supplement our community development efforts in Rau Tanzania has spawned a new not-for-profit organization. There has been so much support from the Nashville community, that the benefit idea coined 'Tennessee to Tanzania' has quickly become TenTan, Inc: a Nashville Nonprofit Network aimed at actively abandoning apathy by putting Music City back into the Volunteer State.
Through a Nashville not-for-profit event circuit, we hope to bind talents to create local awareness regarding international aid and poverty relief efforts. We plan on serving as a local 501©3 nonprofit organization that serves to promote awareness of local, regional, and nationally certified nonprofit organizations in Nashville.
The official website will soon be operating with community updates and access to other sites involved with TenTan! We have much planning to do! TenTan is currently in transitional office space and is working with corporate sponsorship and federal grants. Please lend your voice by telling us how you can incorporate your talents and resources into the movement putting Music City back into the Volunteer State.

These artists and bands expressed participatory interest in "putting music city back into the volunteer state." The initial dates set for the benefit 'Tennessee to Tanzania' for the Spring of 2008 have been moved back due to the process of incorporation and 501(c)3 certification.
