I was born in Larissa, the capital of the Greek region Thessaly. When I was a child I took violin classes at the conservatoir of Larissa and played at the Municipal Symphony Orchestra. My great passion is classical music, particularly the Italian operas. Furthermore, I love the Argentinean tango, and I am proud to have good friends from Buenos Aires who live in Europe. Curiously, the Eurovision Song Contest, the annual song event of Europe, has long been a part of my life. I am a founding member of OGAE Greece and have served as a vice-president in the past.In 1993 I entered the medical school of Thessaloniki, and I graduated in 1999. I have authored a series of scientific research papers and have been awarded prizes. Since 2006 my biography is included in Who's Who in the World. My thesis focuses on the relationship between Helicobacter pylori infection and glaucoma. I am a member of many scientific societies, both national and abroad.In November 2006 I moved to Heraklion Crete to continue my training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
