About Me

South Coast’s Jean Pickard and Don Truby take Americana music to the crossroads of bluegrass, blues, country and folk. Their songs are a varied collection of covers and originals filled with strong rhythms, tight vocal blends, and beautiful melodies.
South Coast has performed all over Southern California over the past 5 years; featured at the Oak Glenn Mountain Music Stage, Hesperia Days, Wrightwood Mountain Music Days, the Fireside and Camarillo Café Concert Series, and the Death Valley ‘49ers Encampment to name a few.
South Coast’s first CD, self titled South Coast, has been very well received. Now they are back in the studio working on CD number 2, "The Desert Wind":
“Your harmony is spot on. Good work! Can't wait to hear more.” - D. Folk Alley Open Mic.
“You can feel a true sense of warmth and kinship in this song. Don's words truly paint a wonderful picture. Harmonies and guitar parts are clean and crisp, which I love. You guys are amazing!” –R. Folk Alley Open Mic.
