About Me

Friends since college, the Parker Young Band formed officially in late 2006. Yobri Parker was born in 1969, in Lubbock, TX. PJ Young was born in 1969 in Bandera, Tx.Both proud Texas natives, Parker and Young's first musical effort was in the living room of a home in College Station, Texas where Parker performed the only song he knew, "Sunset Boulevard" by Charlie Robison. Young could see the magic that Parker had with the guitar in his hands and bought his own guitar a few weeks later and in November of 2006 they formed the Parker Young Band. After nearly year learning guitar and playing cover songs the band is in the process of writing original music for it's first album based upon actual events in the life of the band members.
