Creekside Soul is the husband and wife team, Reese and Wendy Crane. Reese and Wendy were the main front people for the larger band Creekside Soul that was disbanded in October 2009. Reese and Wendy have been singing together ever since they became a couple and got married. Much of their roots were steeped in religious, soulful music, like what might be found in the gospel genre. Reese grew up in Detroit, Michigan in the late 1960’s and 70’s and developed an immense love of the Motown sound. Aside from singing lead and harmonies, he plays keyboards, guitar and drums. Wendy who grew up in the Central Pennsylvania area always gravitated towards the more soulful sounds of gospel choir music and much of the pop and R&B sounds on the radio. She also plays keyboard at times but is mainly executing lead vocals and harmonies with great precision and passion.
Reese and Wendy have a broad musical base of cover tunes (mostly rock and soul style) as well as a growing original montage which allows them to play in a variety of establishments. They also work in tandem with other local and national artists from time to time which keeps them busy in the South and Northwest regions of the country.
CS has been complimented on its slightly altered music set bringing life once again to songs that are great but haven’t been heard in a great while.

An area near and dear to Reese's heart is the issue of Bullying; in schools, workplace and society in general. Reese was bullied all through his elementary days while living outside of Detroit MI. From age 8 until age 14 (1973 to 1979) when he moved to Pennsylvania, Reese lived in fear everyday of his life especially walking to and from school when he would constantly be ambushed by multiple classmates or taunted on a regular basis. That's putting it lightly. 3 of the 5 main bullies lived on his street. The other 2 on the street behind him. Reese feared even leaving his home by himself or to even play in his yard with other friends.
These early formative years of Reese's life were filled with fear, and as he grew into adulthood, much of the fear and distrust of people followed him. It wreaked havoc in many of his relationships. Not only his body, but his soul was abused. After years of counseling and learning to trust again, crediting his faith, Reese wants to pass on all that he has learned.
Reese is available to talk to groups about his experiences but more than that, he wishes to connect personally with those kids who have been bullied or are currently being bullied and even adults who have been deeply affected by that activity in their lives. He wants to share with them the hope that he found and show them they can overcome and withstand the forces that would seek to destroy rather than build up.
