Who We Are?
“Oozing individuality and refreshingly honest, this band possess the X-factor that separate them from the rest” –Forte Magazine Geelong
“Lost Order” moulds together an aroma of “Alternative/Rock” to produce a style that explores the feelings and intensity of what this craft is all about. Based in Geelong, Lost Order has set their eyes on the prospect of venturing outside the boundaries of their hometown, and sharing their music with a new set of ears.
Whilst having an extensive list of gigs to their name, and a Victorian/South Australian Tour under their belts, Lost Order has been able to support Australian bands such as; The Whiteroom, The Getaway Plan, Behind Crimson Eyes and Freestate. But the biggest thrill for Lost Order was being able to play to an ‘amped-up’ hometown crowd of 1000+ alongside Brisbane rockers, ‘The Butterfly Effect’.
Every member of Lost Order is different in influences and personality, although when placed in a rehearsal room or on-stage with instruments in hand, Lost Order produces one unique sound. Influences ranging from International acts such as Incubus, Killswitch Engage, Placebo, Metallica and Muse, to Australian talent, The Butterfly Effect, Karnivool and The Whitlam’s, ensures each member puts forward their own slice in music and ability to the table. Whether it be Kyle’s (Vocals/Piano) voice, that bears a similarity to that of Brian Molko (Placebo), the driving melody of the piano, blended in with Jarrod(Lead Guitar) and Tristan’(Rhythm Guitar) dynamic and melodic guitar sections, or the tight rhythm section, delivered through Ferg(Bass) and Aiden(Drums). All five experiment with sounds and techniques to create well crafted music.
Even though Lost Order is a fresh breed to the music industry, they are not a “Garage junk-yard” band, and they are far from one. Lost Order refuse to sit back and watch success pass them by. Instead producing music with maturity and understanding, whilst treating their songwriting, promotion’ and lifestyle’ with respect and honesty, which is just what it deserves. From the Studio to the stage, Lost Order always inject meaning into their live shows. Drawing inspiration from Story of the Year’ (USA) live show, which are full of fierce energy and excitement, Lost Order always strives to replicate this same energy on stage.
Lost Order’ endeavors to gain success and exposure has not gone unnoticed. Since forming they have completed a Tour over Victoria and South Australia, and have won many local competitions, gaining a name for themselves in their local scene, which now sees Lost Order as a benchmark for other local bands. But for Lost Order, it hasn’t been an easy road. Since forming there have been numerous line-up changes, the importance of school, which forced a slow down in the band, and the acceptance of Lost Order’ music within a heavy Hardcore/Metal scene. Lost Order has shown that drive and force can pay off.
“Lost Order”- Write down the name, scream it out down the street, or lock it deep in the memory bank, because it would be wrong to forget this fresh new talent that has big things to prove.
