Am a fashion graduate from Manchester in England, I haven’t made it big yet but am really pushing to get an internship with a designer in London or Paris.“As a fashion graduate I’ve gained knowledge researching and developing themes, an understanding of fabrics and what is achievable with them and an understanding of the techniques, garment construction and progressed into experimenting with and understanding haute couture, tailoring, print, embroidery and the spiral seam.”I make clothes for the sake of pushing the rules of fashion and creativity and often find myself infusing different forms of creativity. But I do understand being in fashion am trying to sell garments so I do understand the Market and fashion forecasting.I presented my Graduate show in Manchester and then also London At the Truman Brewery.Since Graduating I have spent time learning the craft of haute Couture to create garments that become flawless second skin.The garment above was designed and made in 2003 it was inspired by exploring the concept of being British and also having the influence of a Asian background. It is a classic tweed jacket with the back panels being made from a red fabric on one side, grey on the other. The panels have been printed over using different forms of techniques, with the use of Hindi writing and Hindu images of worship. By creating this jacket there is a presentation of the vibrant, exciting and progressive culture that is being created in Britain.
