Interesting people! Of course, that's what everyone wants ;o)
I'd like to meet someone who doesn't always take the world at face value, but who isn't a total pessimist either. Someone who maybe sees beyond the surface of things. Someone who likes to read (and discuss) sci-fi and fantasy novels - especially the Wheel of Time. Someone who isn't overly political - I hate politics. Someone who's not afraid to try new things - whether it's food, experiences, or points of view. And maybe someone who's a little - or a lot - geeky. Geekiness turns me on.
As far as famous people go, I'd love to meet Relient K someday. I saw them live twice, but didn't get to meet them either time. And I've met Robert Jordan - in fact I met him twice. May he rest in peace.
I like mostly punk and rock. My favorite bands ever are Bad Religion, Moxy Früvous, and Relient K. I'm listening to other punk rock bands lately, like Fall Out Boy, Tsunami Bomb, Sugarcult, etc. I also 3 Christian punk, rock, and worship music. And I love Broadway, I've been in a few musicals and I saw Avenue Q and Spamalot in Vegas!
Knocked Up was great, and my favorite movie of all time is So I Married an Axe Murderer (it's an oldie but a goodie, Mike Myers pre-Austin Powers). As any proper geek should, I 3 Star Wars. All of them. Alllllll of them.
Lately I haven't been watching much TV at all. I used to like House but he's getting too out there for me. And I hate the news. Hate hate hate hate hate. Though it's not so bad in Nevada. I flat out refused to watch any of it in LA.
Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. I love it. It's a fantasy series: Kings, queens, battles, magic...I also like Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey and the Old Kingdom trilogy (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen) by Garth Nix. And I will always have an undying love for Animorphs.
My dad is my hero. He went from growing up in the lower class in Maywood to the upper-middle class in Riverside. He worked hard and bettered himself and got no recognition. I hope that someday I can achieve as much as he has.
