About Me

Ananda Vidyadharma (Baan Dada) is a project of the Neohumanist Foundation, which started as a boysâ€™ home in Huay Ma Lai in an effort to protect the growing number of disadvantaged and jeopardized children in the area. This area, in western Thailand, that suffers from instability, as families are disturbed by disease, poverty and cultural changes.The boys' home was initiated after four years of hard work on a piece of wild neglected land. The land was cultivated, a water catchment was built to provide for water supply and the first steps in eco-farming were soon made. A big house was built and in 1996 the first children were welcomed.Today Ananda Vidyadharma is an independent community project that supports the people in the village of Huay Ma Lai and the surrounding area as well.Ananda Vidyadharma is responsible for its own funding and self-sufficiency, so all means that it undertakes are designed to lead towards this end while continuing to support the community towards the same.The main objectives are:â€¢ To help families and children in need â€¢ To raise the quality of life of the community â€¢ To attain self-sustainability for the home, while increasing that of the community

..Hi Guys, This site is set up to raise awareness for Baan Dada orphanage also known as Ananda Vidyadharma. It is situated minutes away from the Burmese (Myanmar) border and is home to a number of Burmese oprhans/refugee children.

We are looking for volunteers all the time, so anybody who is seriously interested...please, please contact us on this site or through the links provided.
Even if you can't spend long at the ophanage, why not combine a vacation with just a few days there. Click below to get some ideas of some vacation/volunteer ideas. Remember anything no matter how small can only be a positive thing for these kids.
Any help anyone can give such as donations (financial or goods), sponsorship of a child, will be so gratefully received by everyone at Baan Dada, but most importantly the children.
