I have experienced so much through this sport. I have been able to see almost all of the United States and have been able to travel to Canada for some games as well. I play for the ROCKFORD THUNDER National Pro Fastpitch team our of Rockford, IL in the summer time. During the school year, I coach at a Division II University in Austin, TX - St. Edward's University. I played for the U.S. National team for 3 years and played college ball at The University of Texas - HOOK 'EM HORNS! What I wouldnt give to end up coaching at my alma mater! Prior to college I was able to experience an ASA 18u GOLD National Championship with the Katy Cruisers Gold- what an amazing feeling! I love to do softball clinics and lessons - there isn't a feeling in the world that compares to making a difference in someone elses life. I get that feeling a lot as a coach and a professional athlete, and I am happy that I have the chance to do something that great.I live in Austin, TX - which is one of the greatest places to live in the U.S. It is the "Live Music Capital of the World." You cant find another city that has more live music every single day of the week than Austin, TX. It is also a very artistic and 'outdoorsy' kind of place. Austin is home of some of the best Tex-Mex you can find. MMmmmm Mexican food! Hmm, maybe thats why Ive gained weight! Oh well, you only live once right?! Austin also have a lot of dog parks and hiking trails. Since I have 3 dogs, (Droopy - Black lab, Stoli - Lab/Boxer Mix, Kazi - Pit Bull) I like to take them to the parks, espeicially the ones with water. There is nothing like taking them to the park and coming home with 3 wiped out dogs and a night of peace!Rockford, IL is where I spend my summer playing pro ball. I have met so many new people up there that have impacted my life in such a positive way. I have made some of the greatest friends I will ever have and have had teh chance to make a difference in the lives of some younger softball and baseball players around the area. Rockford has been very inviting to our pro softball team. This past season, we probably had more fans in one weeks' games than we did all season in Houston when we were the Texas Thunder. Although I miss our loyal Texas fans, I am very thankful that the Thunder finally found a place to call home and that home is happy we are there!
