Rob Jay aka Robert Junior

Robert Junior, a multi - talented producer from the streets of Newport News(Bad News), Virginia. Currently, living on the west coast of Olympia, Washington. Robert Junior started his life interest in music at the age of 10; when his eyes caught sight of the bass guitar in church. Amazed by the bass sound from the guitar; he rushed home after church and shared his experience with his Dad. Later while in church; seeing his interest in music, his grandpa (Elder Robert Knight) allowed him to play the organ during church service. Robert Junior never took music lessons. Everything he plays, is played by ear.As a teenager, he strayed away from the church and became interested in rap music. At that time, his brother Yashu had a rap group called the Sleepwalkerz. Robert Junior(Shorty Red at the time) became the group's producer and dj. He stayed with the group for 7 years and then moved on to Turntablism; lasting only a year. In 1997, he moved to Hawaii and recieved Christ into his life. Accepting Christ into his life, made Robert Junior come back to the church. Letting go the ways of the world, he started his production company called Word Fire Records / Entertainment. The main purpose of this company was to help local artists; who love Jesus Christ get their foot in the door.In 2004, he relocated to Washington state and met up with some of the Christian local artists; who introduced him to new contacts. Shortly after, Robert Junior reopened Word Fire Entertainment and started producing music for local artists. Robert Junior is a multi - talented producer with a heart for GOD. His heart used to be for the world but now he has found a new love; which is Christ.
