Music hath the charm to soothe a savage beast,
but I'd try a revolver first.
What is art?
Is it the stereotypical depiction
of a lone genius
Driven by an insatiable desire to express
his individuality
Wandering in the midst
of creativity
Or maybe, It's only
a fleeting romantic venture
Accented by horn rimmed glasses
And a warm wool scarf
One fueled by an interest in becoming
Self designedly avant guarde
Or respectably pretentious
To you I say
Art is in the man
Beaten by life
Tired from work
Tired from love and loss
Sick and tired
Of being tired
Art is in the man
Emotionally restless
Looking for answers
Or an outlet
In which to discover knowledge
To share it
Art is in the man
looking to tell his story
so that he may be able
to look at his piece
and say
"I have lived a good life"
