Hailing from the surrounding regions of Charlotte, North Carolina, rising from the ashes of dissolved local bands comes Rest Assured. Forming in late 2007, they blend melody with brutality along with catchy musical compositions. Solid thunderous drums, smooth rhythmic bass lines, guitar ranging from atmospheric melodies to “in your face†breakdowns along with passionate, heart-felt vocals are sure to make this North Carolina five-piece one of the states most promising groups yet. Rest Assured are no newcomers to the thriving Charlotte hardcore scene with most of its members having roots that go back as far as 2002. The bands youth is no match for their ambition and drive. With the band only playing shows for nine months, they have accomplished what many bands their age would only hope, touring much of the south east along with releasing a complete professionally recorded EP working along side acclaimed engineer and producer Jamie King. Although good music is an essential and fundamental part of the mission for the band, their heart and soul lie in the overwhelming passion they have to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world around them. Having their roots grounded in ministry, Rest Assured sets out to deliver a message of hope and love planted into the hearts and minds of those around them. Their message is one of overcoming oppression and depression, to give hope to the hopeless, and that you should always stand your ground no matter what may come your way, which is specifically the theme of their debut EP entitled "Where the Lines Blur.†As for believers, it is a message that He who is in us, is greater than the one who is in the world, and that no matter what we face in this life, in the end, "everything will be alright."
