About Me

Introducing the next wave of producers/artists in the form of Systamatic. Born Sheldon Darren Webster to Tobagonian-born parents and raised in Trinidad, 'Matic started at a very young age, writing and performing under the tutelage of his father. Also a steel drum virtuoso, he has traveled across Europe, Asia, South America, the Caribbean and the U.S and is regarded as one of the best "ears" in the biz. Has made many key appearances and recordings as a member and arranger of award-winning steel jazz outfit Panazz Players, and got into production after producing the group's last two efforts. Awarded a scholarship to Berklee College of Music after performing at their annual High School Jazz Fest. A full year ahead of schedule, he graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a BM in Music Production and Engineering. Has recorded and/or performed with a variety of Boston acts including Dis'n'Dat Band, Hot like Fire, Rezarection Band, and King I. His resume as a sideman includes Gabby, Sugar Aloes, Dion Knibb, Calypso Rose, John King, Mac Fingal, Andy Armstrong, and Lady Saw. Now ready to take the next logical step with his own production company, "Riddimstruction", this multi-instumentalist/producer/artist is drawing from his world experiences and love for the hip-hop culture, and uses a center of reggae, rap, calypso and jazz. Stay tuned for more music and more info from Riddimstruction.
