Update 16-3-09:
Michelle decided to leave, and head off in a different musical direction. We achieved a lot in the 3 months we were working together. (Thanks again Michelle - it really was great working with you). Michelle managed to learn 7 of my songs and we performed at 3 local open acoustic venues - twice at Loftus and once at Saltburn.
I'd like to humbly share some of the one-word comments we received from friends and fellow musicians, mostly as a result of the live performances: Spellbinding; Atmospheric; Enchanting; Beautiful; Soothing; Mesmerising; Magical.
I'm an acoustic guitarist/songwriter, based in Guisborough, Yorkshire, North East UK. Been getting back into music since 2007, after being 'away' for god knows how many years. Don't know how that happened! :) I've got a renewed enthusiasm for songwriting/playing, but my voice isn't really good enough for lead vocals and sometimes I'm a bit short on lyrics. I've collaborated so far with with Laura Anya, a great vocalist, based in Devon, up until March 2008'ish, and with Michelle Gunton, another superb vocalist, December 2008 to March 2009.
I have no visions of stardom, but I would like to produce some decent original acoustic songs. See how it goes basically, no rush, but the chemistry has to be right.
