"Music is my muse, it is what I was born to do," reflects the artist known as Butterfly Jones. Born of direct multi-cultural lineage, Jones is the product of an African American mother and a Japanese father. At the tender age of five, she began to sing with a local church choir in Fresno, California. Butterfly continued to sing throughout her young life. Performing at shows, festivals and community events aided in her becoming a local sensation. Yet, Jones felt the need to break away from her native Fresno. She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. While in Atlanta, the dynamic artist performed spoken word and honed her musical craft at local ATL hotspots. After the novelty of Atlanta began to wane, the exotic artist headed back west with the sole intention of focusing on her music in Los Angeles. With her strong confidence and infectious personality, Jones is standing on the brink of superstardom. In her spare time, she can be found inking lyrics, creating most of the accessories that she wears as well as working on her highly anticipated debut album.
