i wanted to write my own bio so you could hear from me first hand who i am. the first thing everything should know about me is that i'm a southern girl through and through. i was born on july 15th, 1981 to the most loving parents in the world. i grew up in baton rouge, louisiana with a younger brother, and my extended family close by. since i was little i have always had three loves, my family, friends, and music. my grandmother always encouraged me to follow my passion, which was singing. no matter where I was or what I was doing, i was singing a song or humming a tune. at a young age my fascination with music began. my first lead solo was at age 4 in our church musical and my grandfather enrolled me in piano at 4 ½. i grew up singing in church and throughout lower and middle school i was always participating in plays and musicals. in the middle of my freshman year of high school my family moved to georgia, and i was devastated about leaving all my friends and family in louisiana. in georgia i kept myself busy in many extra curricular activities such as basketball, softball, and cheerleading. i also kept singing my heart out performing at fairs, musicals, and by representing my school as part of the singing trio and the female soloist in the literary competitions. living in Georgia turned out to be a wonderful experience and those three years of high school ended up being some of my best memories to this day. during my senior year my family decided to move to mississippi, and once again i was reluctant to leave my school and friends behind. here I started taking voice lessons and landed the role of "grace" in our high school rendition of "annie" at parklane academy. after graduating from high school, i was off to college. in 2003 i graduated from ole miss and my roommate and i threw our stuff in a u-haul and moved to los angeles. i have been living and working here ever since. i have had some amazing time here in la. now i am about to embark on a musical journey. my first song is called “driving blind†and the song is really how i have been feeling lately after losing one of my Best friends. Imagine spending night and day with someone and then they are yanked from your life with out explanation. we all have missed someone in our lives and i feel like this songs captures the essence of not only my story but anyone who has been lost someone Special to them. i want to say thanks for all of you that have gone out and bought “driving blind.†your support means the world to me. xoxo alli
