Welcome to the tribute page of the beautiful, classy exploitation actresses Maria Rohm!
Born in 1943 in the city of Vienna in Austria, she's notorious mostly for working for director Jesús Franco from the year 1968 to 1970, a short period of time in which she starred in 8 of his films, some of which are considered among the directors very best like Venus in Furs (1969), De Sade 70: Eugenie (1970) or Marquis de Sade: Justine (1969).
In the early 70s, she also appeared in several European movies, like Dorian Gray (1970), And Then They Were None (1974) or Black Beauty (1971).
Most of this titles were produced by her husband since 1964, Harry Alan Towers.
Now retired from the acting world, she works as a film producer now and continues happily married to her long time companion.
She may not have Soledad Miranda's screen presence, Brigitte Lahaie's curves or Lina Romay's dedication, but she's certainly the most talented actress to work in cinema during the golden age of exploitation.
