About Me

CHECK OUT OUR INTERVIEW W/ BEATTHESCENE.COM
SHOWS
Charlie was born in the winter of 2005, with a wealth of knowledge and passion, what else was there to do but share it? They had their first show in the fall of 2005, where they opened for their good friends Caspian.
Fiercely independent, and hog-wildly stubborn, they have worked exceedingly hard on their own, to write, and record epic, moving, occasionally biting and always dreamlike works.
Their influences range from hard to soft, lyrical to instrumental storytelling, classic to cuttingly new, and are as diverse as each gentleman.
Dreamy and low, the bass emerges with the a quiet dignity. The guitars whine, swell and soar, as their own unique, and intricate playing creates hushed homage to the men they consider gifted. The drums march a war path, sometimes soft and heart-rending, other times rolling antagonistically, signaling a dichotomy that is inherent in so many aspects of their musical talents. Their lyrical style, a poetry all their own, descriptive and involving, shows them as fans of other musically inclined poets, spanning decades.
They kicked off the summer of 2007, with a tour that they booked for themselves. It’s this dedication to their craft, and the love they have for the people who appreciate what they do, that makes them one of the most interesting and intimate feeling live bands around. If you’re looking to love and be loved by, then look no further than Charlie.
See them live, and dance. Listen to them in the repose of your car, on a starry night, or a beautiful afternoon. Always with the windows down. And if you’re planning on coming out, please, …bring manwiches.
