Local runners raising money for Cancer research starts a new “MySpace†for the cause.Jane Gopez from Rancho Belago (Northern Moreno Valley), who is a past runner of the San Diego Team in Training marathon group, has now become a mentor for TNT and is spearheading the MySpace page to let others know how they can help! “I had never run a race before and never thought in a million years that I would be able to run a whole marathon in my life!†Jane exclaimed. “They, Team in Training, (TNT) taught me how to walk, run, breath, sweat and put back all the missing ingredients my body needed to make it to the end. I had only signed up to do the half but by the time the race came, I was ready and I did it!†Jane started the website to help others looking to run, donate to a great cause and share their tragedies and triumphs on their runs together. “The site is not for me but for all those coming after me. It helps answer some of the questions about what we have gotten ourselves into, doing a marathon for the first time.†The site is located at www.MySpace.com/tntmentor We are currently training two different groups of runners, one for a marathon in January 2008 in Orange County and the other is for a marathon in January 2008 in Phoenix Arizona. All the runners we are training with are from the Inland Empire. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® is the world's largest endurance sports training program. If we don’t raise the funds, we don’t get to run. It’s that simple.†Jane told us.Learn More About Team In Training
