Interesting, intelligent people with something to say. Anyone who is up for some good laughs. If you're actually in London or passing through I'd like to meet people in person too, otherwise, what would be the point of myspace?
Alternative Rock: Mew, Kent, Sigur Rós, Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, some MM, Soundgarden, Killers, Muse, Placebo, radiohead, Kitty Wu, Kent, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Godspeed You Black Emperor, The Stills, Interpol, Foo Fighters and other more singer-songwriter-y stuff like Damien Rice, Tom Mcrae. Not a huge electronic fan but I do like Blue Foundation, röyksopp and massive attack. Classical I like Chopin, Beethoven among others. Oh, and don't forget to check out my own band, Mute, on www.mutesound.net!!
Some of my favorite movies include: Lost in Translation (I love Scarlett Johanssen!), Garden State, American Beauty, Braveheart (epic!), Sin City (what a cool movie), Requiem For a Dream, Pulp Fiction, Virgin Suicides, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ceudad de Deus, Allegro (Danish movie, a must see!), Fight Club and many more.
Haven't had TV for a year and a half now, but I watch these series: Family Guy-where all cencorship ends...What a classic! Futurama for "walking on sunshine!" Lost now on season 2. Desperate Housewives hurray! Little Britain "dye do crisps?"
Just read A Sunday at the Pool in Kigali. Its the book Hotel Rwanda is based on. Most of the events and people in it, including their names are all genuine, which makes it even more gripping and ultimately tragic... A must read for everyone! Birdsong, Lord of the Rings. Generation-X, can't think of any others at the moment but loads more hmmmmm....hard to put in writing...(ha ha!) But basically anything by Douglas Coupland. Oh! Just remembered as a kid I loved His Dark Materials trilogy, and Catcher in the Rye.
Kurt Cobain for his lyrical and pop sensibility genius. Matthew Bellamy for being such an awesome musician and Scarlet Johannsen for being so genuine (ok, how cheesy did THAT sound!)
