I started playing when I was 13 years old, self taught by learning little melodies, riffs, practically anything I could hear I would try and learn note for note. My real passion I discovered though was playing blues and listening to the likes of BB King, Elmore James, and Howlin’ Wolf. I really liked how the bluesmen could express raw emotion by playing particular licks. In my music I try to combine early blues, jazz and rock. I really like having the ability to be free and tend to improvise when I get the chance. I love jamming with my band The Bluesmiths. This gives me an opportunity to get together with my mates and just play music as we feel it. I love to gig and I get way too excited knowing if I have one to look forward to. I’ve gigged in places such as Islington Academy, Barfly, The Cuban Bar, 333 Mother Bar,KOKO, The Marquee Club, Grand Clapham Hall, Shorditch House, Sound, The Cobden Club, The Pigalle Club and in various other places around London too.
